"ELVIS ANGEL was written about a house cat in Alexander City, Alabama. That cat belonged to Jonathan Bloom, an artist I produced, and co-wrote with, circa 1994, in L.A. Some believed that this cat was channeling the spirit of Elvis Presley. Hence his name and the song's title. Very immersed in the highly pressurized songwriting process for this project I woke up in the morning with all these lyrics filling up my head. I had to scramble and grab a pen before I forgot everything. This song is definitely a fun, crowd-pleaser in my live shows." - js
